Luxury Men's Lapel Chains

Before the wristwatch, there was the pocket watch. And before the pocket watch sat quietly in a waistcoat pocket, it hung from a lapel chain — a length of fine metal links connecting the watch to the buttonhole of a gentleman's jacket. It was practical, it was elegant, and it was unmistakably the mark of a man who understood how to dress.

The waistcoat fell out of fashion in the mid-19th century. The pocket watch followed. But the lapel chain — worn by British Military Officers throughout the Great War — never entirely disappeared. It simply evolved. Today, where the watch once hung, a beautifully crafted charm takes its place, sitting in the breast pocket while the other end fastens through the lapel buttonhole. The effect is the same: considered, distinctive, and entirely your own.

TYLER & TYLER Lapel Chains are die-struck and hand-enamelled in our Birmingham, England factory — the same workshop that has been producing fine metal accessories since 1908. Each one is a small piece of history you can wear today.

Supplied in a beautiful TYLER & TYLER presentation box.
