Although a fictional character Royal Navy Commander James Bond is without doubt an icon of British Men’s style.
Bond was created by the brilliant mind of British journalist and novelist Ian Fleming in 1953. The character featured in twelve novels and two short-story collections which all went on to become iconic movies.
James Bond was born 13th April, 1968. He is a Senior Operational Officer of the ‘Double-O’ branch – which is an ultra-covert Black Ops unit of the British Secret Intelligence Service SIS/MI6. Bond is an officer in MI6, holding the code number 007. The double zero indicating the discretionary license to kill in the performance of duties.
007 has been portrayed in film by actors George Lazenby, David Niven, Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. All amazing actors who each certainly bought something different to the role. We have to say all men of great personal style as well!
